Voxpilot and UbiCall announce their partnership to deliver VoiceXML based speech recognition solutions. |
|
|
|
The two complementary voice specialists have combined their strengths to offer customers fully operational and open standard solutions.
Châtillon, France, and Mons, Belgium, 14th of April 2005 – Voxpilot, leading provider of carrier-grade IN and VoiceXML solutions, and UbiCall , a leader in Speech Activated Automated Telephony Solutions, announced today they have now joined forces to offer a "one-stop" solution to automate companies or government agencies’ office-receptions and call centers to make it more cost efficient and offer better services to their customers.
Currently the market for automated voice applications is booming thanks to the latest progress in the solution technology and because companies are more than ever looking at reducing communication costs and improving Quality of Service.
Voxpilot, the leader in VoiceXML technology, develops standards-based solutions that avoid the pitfalls of proprietary systems that are usually expensive, inflexible, utilize a closed architecture, and are often unreliable.
Voxpilot Open Media Platform (OMP) solution is the leading multi-language VoiceXML platform and the first to have ever been certified by the VoiceXML Forum.
The OMP supports the IETF Media Resource Control Protocol (MRCP). This allows best-of-breed third-party media resources such as Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR), Speaker Identification (SI), Speaker Verification (SV), and Text-To-Speech (TTS) engines to be quickly and effortlessly integrated into the platform. The SIP and MRCP protocols in the OMP facilitate scalable, load-balanced, and maintainable clusters of VoiceXML controlled media resources to be deployed in a robust fashion.
Voxpilot and VoiceXML allow development and deployment of voice applications in an open, web-inspired model and without disrupting existing computer applications, at a much lower cost than with proprietary solutions on the market.
The OMP platform features all the latest advances in terms of control of voice recognition and TTS resources, and connects Voice and Web environments directly.
UbiCall Communications is a leading provider in Speech Activated Automated Interactive Telephony Solutions based on speech recognition, text to speech, and dialog processing.
UbiCall Voxplorer Receptionist™ performs the tasks of a human receptionist, transferring the caller to the requested party, in a smooth, automatic and cost effective way, thus relieving human operators of basic switchboard tasks or corporate call center.
UbiCall Voxplorer DialUp™ enables automatic dialing of phone number just by saying the associated name or entry, which saves the user directory search and dialing time, both for internal and external phone calls.
Voxplorer Receptionist and Voxplorer DialUp are available as a software package running on carrier-grade Voice XML platforms, thus enabling telecom operators to deliver Voice Activated Dialing on an ASP basis. The products today exist for small enterprises, medium-sized organizations and large corporations in all major European languages, including Dutch, English, French, German, Spanish and Portuguese.
The software package can be licensed per line, per call or per user, or leased.
Both companies have partnered to jointly leverage their respective strengths to offer full robust VoiceXML solutions, to target together applications such as call center automation, for inbound as well as for outbound calling, automating reception to make it more cost efficient and supplying fully automated voice services to companies or government agencies, and to carriers wishing to host automated Directory Assistance services.
The partnership will allow them to resell smoothly embedded products and to strengthen their position in the European and North America markets.
As more companies and government agencies turn toward interactive speech software and self-service automation (transaction, call center applications, information services) to manage call-center costs, increase productivity and satisfy their customers, they're relying more and more on performant and sophisticated automated speech recognition systems.
The virtual receptionist services market which offers cost efficiency coupled with richer and more automated services has matured from an emerging market to a current market that will experience accelerated growth in the coming years.
